Abie and Willie had taken over Schreiber’s Restaurant in the early 50’s. When Abie passed away, Willie moved the store to Metropolitan
Avenue where it remained until 1994. It was a classic Jewish deli with Willie and the frankfurters visible from the street enticing hungry passersby to wander in.
