"Middle Village of Old"

Doug Leblang always had a fascination with the simple beauty of everyday life in his hometown of Middle Village in Queens, NY and loved to draw the things he saw around him. From the early fifties he has been drawing his father’s drugstore, the deli, the theatre –and the people who patronized them. This exhibition marks a return to those subjects that are near and dear to the artist. It consists of mixed media paintings which recreate Middle Village landmarks that the artist remembers
from years past.
