Every since I could remember the Target Diner was the Middle Village eatery. Even though it was technically on the Forest Hills side of Woodhaven Blvd. it was the place to see and be seen from the time it was built in 1936 until its closing in 1972. It was open 24/7 so you could always find a port in the storm. It’s neon target and sign was a beacon to hungry Middle Villagers.
