This theater was the first in Queens to be wired for sound and showed "The Jazz Singer" in the twenties. It was known for its low prices, kiddie matinees, midnight shows and revivals. The Arion was the primary cultural influence for several generations of Middle Villagers and it is still fondly talked about today.
